Hockey India Celebrates 76th Olympic Day with Fun Activities

New Delhi, India – Hockey India marked this year’s Olympic Day with a variety of activities to promote sportsmanship and unity. Over the past few days, Hockey India Member Units hosted events to bring people of all ages and backgrounds together through sports.

Exciting Events and Activities

The celebrations included friendly tournaments, exhibition matches, skill competitions, and a tree plantation drive. The theme ‘Let’s Move’ inspired activities centered around physical activity and hockey, such as quizzes, art competitions, and a mass social service drive.

Encouraging an Active Lifestyle

The events aimed to highlight the importance of physical well-being and inspire participants to lead active lives. Olympic Day, introduced in 1948, commemorates the birth of the modern Olympic Games on June 23, 1894, and encourages global sports participation.

Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh highlighted how the celebrations strengthen the bond between children, young adults, and sports, promoting fitness, well-being, and the values of excellence, friendship, and respect.
