The 14th Hockey India Senior Men’s National Championship witnessed thrilling semi-final matches at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai. Hockey Haryana and the Hockey Association of Odisha emerged victorious, securing their spots in the final.

Hockey Haryana vs. Uttar Pradesh Hockey

Hockey Haryana clinched a narrow 3-2 victory over Uttar Pradesh Hockey. Raman and Abhimanyu scored in the second quarter, giving Haryana a strong start. Rajinder Singh extended the lead in the third quarter. Despite a late comeback with goals from Arun Sahani and Manish Yadav, Uttar Pradesh fell short of an equalizer.

Hockey Association of Odisha vs. Manipur Hockey

In the first semi-final, the Hockey Association of Odisha defeated Manipur Hockey 4-2. Nilakanta Sharma scored first for Manipur, but Odisha’s Nilam Sanjeep Xess equalized. Shilanand Lakra put Odisha ahead, but Ganendrajit Ningombam equalized for Manipur. Prasad Kujur and Sudeep Chirmako’s quick goals in the fourth quarter secured Odisha’s win.

The final will see Hockey Haryana face the Hockey Association of Odisha, while Uttar Pradesh Hockey and Manipur Hockey will compete for third place.
