Hindu College and Manipur Government Launch Skill Training for Women in Fragrance Formulations

Hindu College, in collaboration with the Government of Manipur, is set to conduct an intensive Skill Training in Fragrance Formulations for Wellness Products. This initiative is organized in partnership with Ultra International Limited and CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow, under the mentorship of Justice Gita Mittal Committee.

Empowering Women

The training program aims to empower distressed women from Manipur by equipping them with skills for self-employment and entrepreneurship. From June 24 to July 14, Hindu College will host 30 women from Manipur for this program.

Inauguration and Curriculum

Chief Secretary of Manipur, Vineet Joshi, will inaugurate the event as the Chief Guest. The curriculum includes modules on essential oil extraction, and the creation of perfumes, candles, and soaps. The program offers both theoretical knowledge and practical experience through structured sessions and industrial visits.

Lecture and Hands-On Sessions

Special lecture sessions will cover topics like the history of fragrances, their role in everyday life, and sustainable fragrance design. Hands-on sessions will teach essential oil extraction methods, including steam distillation and greener methods.

Real-World Application

Upon completion, participants will apply their skills in real-world settings. Ultra International Ltd. will support the establishment of a fragrance unit in Imphal and commit to purchasing the products created, ensuring livelihood opportunities and economic growth in the region.
