In an exciting development for Himachal Pradesh’s overseas employment efforts, five young individuals have secured jobs in Saudi Arabia through the state’s Overseas Placement Initiative. These recruits have joined Express Forwarding Services (EFS), a leading logistics and supply chain company.

The announcement was made by Mansi Shai Thakur, Director of the Department of Labour, Employment, and Overseas Placement in Himachal Pradesh. Salim Baig, Executive Director of EFS in Saudi Arabia, confirmed the new hires, expressing confidence in their potential to contribute effectively to the company.
Training and Preparation
The selected candidates completed their training in Aligarh on August 27, 2024, focusing on logistics and supply chain skills. They arrived in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, ready to start their new roles as technicians, operators, and in other service positions.

This initiative stems from groundwork laid during the Chief Minister’s visit to Dubai in December 2023, aimed at creating overseas job opportunities for Himachal Pradesh’s youth.
