Himachal Pradesh Officials Train with Advanced Q6 System Drones
The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) recently completed a successful training program for five officials on the Q6 System Drone. This training, held in collaboration with the Aryabhatta Geo-informatics & Space Application Centre (AGiSAC), aimed to enhance the skills of the participants in operating advanced drones.
Training Details
The program included hands-on sessions with the Q6 System Drone, which is equipped with features like megaphone alerts, emergency kit deployment, daylight and thermal imaging, and mapping and geotagging capabilities. The training was comprehensive, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of drone operation.
Training Modules
The training began with familiarization of the equipment, including the components of the Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA), payload specifications, and performance characteristics. Participants learned how to unpack, assemble, and conduct pre-flight checks, followed by a demonstration flight and Computer-Based Training (CBT).
Flight operations training included mission planning, waypoint navigation, and landing techniques using BFT software for precise planning. Battery maintenance was also covered, focusing on charging procedures, maintenance, and logbook updates.
Safety and Evaluation
Safety and maintenance sessions emphasized operating procedures, troubleshooting in-flight emergencies, and system upkeep. The training concluded with evaluations, including a theoretical test worth 100 marks and practical flying sessions.
