Himachal Pradesh Minister Vikramaditya Singh Challenges Kangana Ranaut Over Sonia Gandhi Remarks
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], September 23: Himachal Pradesh Minister Vikramaditya Singh has criticized Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut for her comments against senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. Singh demanded an apology from Ranaut and challenged her to prove her allegations or face legal action.
Singh stated, “I think not even an illiterate person would say such things. Either she should show evidence or apologize within a week, or else we will file a defamation case against her. BJP should take cognizance of this matter.”
This response came after Ranaut alleged that the Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh government used to take out loans and divert the money to Sonia Gandhi. Singh expressed respect for Ranaut as an elected BJP MP from Mandi but condemned her remarks against Sonia Gandhi.
Earlier, on September 20, Kangana Ranaut criticized the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for his statements during his US visit, accusing the Congress of dividing the country to gain power. Rahul Gandhi’s comments on various issues have sparked controversy in India, with BJP leaders condemning his statements.
Rahul Gandhi also mentioned the need for a caste census and highlighted the lack of representation for OBCs, Dalits, and Adivasis in the country, referring to it as the “elephant in the room.”
