On Monday, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated a new Public Works Department (PWD) sub-division office in Bijhari, located in the Barsar assembly constituency of Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh. This new office aims to enhance road maintenance in the Dhatwal area, previously managed by the Barsar sub-division, which oversaw around 600 kilometers of roads.

During the event, CM Sukhu dedicated the strengthening of the 12-kilometer Barsar-Shahtlai road, a project costing Rs 3.19 crore. He stated that this development would benefit local residents and pilgrims visiting the religious sites of Shahtlai and Deotsidh. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the 24-kilometer Saloni-Deotsidh road, with Rs 26.32 crore allocated for its expansion from 3.2 meters to 5.5 meters, improving vehicle movement and accessibility.

CM Sukhu received a warm welcome in Nadaun and Shahtlai, where large crowds gathered. In Nadaun, he discussed budget preparations with journalists, urging ministers to complete formalities for a smooth process. He highlighted that the current government has fulfilled five out of ten guarantees and is working on the rest.

Criticizing BJP leaders, Sukhu accused them of spreading misinformation and lacking a unified stance. He mentioned internal conflicts within the BJP and misleading reports reaching the Prime Minister. Sukhu also criticized the previous BJP government for declining service quality, emphasizing the current government’s commitment to improvement. He aims to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant by 2027 and prosperous by 2032.
