The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradesh has announced the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign to promote environmental consciousness. This initiative, supported by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will run from August 1 to 15 and aims to plant 4 lakh trees across the state.

Campaign Details

Dr. Rajiv Bindal, the BJP State President, emphasized the importance of this campaign for environmental stewardship and a sustainable future. The goal is to plant 4 lakh trees at 8000 locations, with each booth targeting 50 trees. State General Secretary Trilok Kapoor will lead a dedicated team to ensure the campaign’s success.

Community Involvement

Dr. Bindal called for enthusiastic participation from all residents of Himachal Pradesh, highlighting the community’s role in making this initiative a success.

Commemorative Events

In addition to the tree-planting campaign, the BJP will commemorate August 14th as ‘Partition Horror Day’ to educate future generations about the 1947 partition and honor those affected. State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma will lead this initiative.

The BJP will also celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ on August 15th, encouraging every household to display the Indian flag in honor of Independence Day.
