Himachal Governor and Defence Minister Discuss Alleged Airspace Violations Near China Border

In a recent online meeting, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh discussed concerns about alleged airspace violations along the Chinese border in Himachal Pradesh. This discussion followed claims by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, who reported sightings of Chinese drones and planes near the Indian border, causing fear among local residents in areas like Rishi Dogri and Pooh Block Headquarters.

Negi stated, “We have seen Chinese drones and aircraft in our skies, and the people living in these border regions are scared. This is not something we can ignore.” However, Governor Shukla refuted these claims, expressing confidence in India’s defense and border security, and denied any airspace violations. He stated, “Such a possibility is not possible at all because no one has the courage to enter and encroach upon the borders of India.”

When asked to clarify his statements, Minister Negi softened his stance, suggesting that previous reports might have been misunderstood or exaggerated, saying, “It has no justification.”
