Himachal CM Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Meets Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of Himachal Pradesh met with Union Minister for Power and Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, in New Delhi. They discussed several state issues pending with the Ministry.
Chief Minister Sukhu requested the Union Minister’s intervention to restore the rights of the Shanan Power Project to the state, as the lease period has expired. He also asked for the release of the pending share due from the BBMB, which has been awaited for many years and is causing losses to the state. Additionally, Sukhu sought support for a mega solar park in Spiti.
Union Minister Khattar assured that he would look into these issues and directed the officers to take necessary steps. The meeting was attended by Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister Ram Subhag Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Devesh Kumar, Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty, and senior officers of the Ministry.
