Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Visits Kalpa Balika Ashram
On a visit to the Balika Ashram in Kalpa, Kinnaur district, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the state government’s commitment to supporting orphaned children. He declared that these children are recognized as “children of the state,” with the government covering their education and essential expenses. During his visit, the Chief Minister encouraged the girls at the Ashram to focus on their education and assured them of the government’s support for their future. He instructed the Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner to conduct regular inspections of the Ashram to address any issues. As a Diwali gift, he announced Rs 25,000 for each inmate and presented tracksuits. The girls expressed gratitude and performed a cultural program. The visit also included prayers at the Bodh Temple Kalpa, with Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi and other officials present.
