Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Launches Major Projects in Kullu

On a significant day for Kullu, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various projects worth over Rs 102 crores in Bhuntar. These projects aim to enhance infrastructure and disaster management in the region.

Key Projects Inaugurated

The Chief Minister laid the foundation for a double-lane Bhuntar bridge, costing Rs 4.56 crore. Additionally, he inaugurated a transit accommodation with a parking floor for the regional hospital in Kullu, built at Rs 2.98 crore, and an OPD Block Integrated Rehabilitation Center for female addicts in Bhuntar, constructed for Rs 24 lakh.

Disaster Mitigation Efforts

Under the State Disaster Mitigation Fund, CM Sukhu initiated flood protection works near the rafting center in Tehsil Pridi, costing Rs 3.63 crore. Other projects include embankment protection from Lower Shastrinagar to Badah Kullu for Rs 6 crore, and flood control works in Kullu MC area for Rs 8.53 crore.

Water Supply and Irrigation Schemes

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation for the Bhuntar town water supply scheme, costing Rs 22 crore under the Amrit-2.0 scheme. He inaugurated a lift water supply scheme from Beas River to 16 Tanki, Shaldhara, costing Rs 9.62 crore, and the Neoli-Tharmahan lift irrigation scheme for Rs 2.55 crore under Nabard.
