Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu welcomed ambassadors from various countries to Kullu during the ‘International Folk Dance Kullu Dussehra Festival’. The event aimed to highlight the state’s cultural heritage and attract foreign investments.

The latest budget focuses on developing Himachal as a tourism hub, with Kangra set to become the tourism capital. Plans include a 24/7 tourist village and water sports at Pong Dam, supported by a Rs.1,311 crore scheme with the Asian Development Bank.

The festival allowed diplomats to explore cultural similarities, with representatives from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan noting shared vocabulary with Himachal. CM Sukhu stressed the need for infrastructure development, including heliports, to boost tourism and create jobs.
