Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Criticizes Kangana Ranaut’s Remarks on Farmers

On Tuesday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu criticized BJP MP Kangana Ranaut for her recent comments on farmers. He emphasized that both the BJP and Congress Party oppose her remarks. Sukhu stated, “Farmers and gardeners are the food providers of this country. It is not good to make any kind of comment on them. No one has the right to insult them by making such statements.”

Protests were held by AAP and BJP leaders against Ranaut’s statements. One protester said, “The BJP leaders who raise the slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, the same BJP leaders are now insulting the farmers by calling them separatists.”

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh commented, “Every person has their thinking. BJP has nothing to do with this statement. BJP is working for the benefit of the farmers.”

Leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also criticized Ranaut’s comments. He accused the BJP of having an anti-farmer policy and stated, “The propaganda machinery of the Modi government, which has failed to fulfill the promises made to the farmers, is continuously engaged in insulting the farmers.”

Earlier, the BJP distanced itself from Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut’s statement about the farmers’ agitation and asked her to refrain from making such statements in the future.
