Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a grant of two crore rupees for the boys’ hostel at Horticulture and Forestry College, Neri. He emphasized the importance of horticulture in boosting the rural economy and introduced plans for new courses.

The CM highlighted the state’s green energy initiatives, including a green hydrogen plant in Nalagarh and a solar power project in Una district. He also discussed the government’s efforts to promote green energy and rural development, aiming to make Himachal Pradesh a green energy state by 2026.

Additionally, the Chief Minister spoke about improvements in education and healthcare, such as the opening of Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools and the merger of schools with less than five students. He mentioned the development of 850 educational institutions as Institutes of Excellence and the filling of posts for doctors and para-medical staff in health institutions.

The CM also detailed schemes for the uplift of dairy farmers and measures to enhance state revenue. He criticized the previous BJP government for fiscal debt and outlined efforts to stabilize the economy. On the occasion, he released two books from the university and was joined by several dignitaries, including MLAs and chairmen of various cooperative banks.
