High-Level Committee Led by Dr. K. Radhakrishnan to Review National Testing Agency Amid NEET-UG Exam Concerns

A seven-member high-level committee has been formed to review the National Testing Agency (NTA) and suggest reforms. This committee is led by Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, the former chairman of ISRO. The committee aims to ensure transparency and improve the examination process and data security protocols.

This decision comes after the NTA faced criticism and protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exams. An unprecedented 67 candidates scored a perfect 720 marks, raising concerns. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a criminal case and formed special teams to investigate these irregularities.

The NTA has claimed that its website and web portals are secure and dismissed allegations of compromise as “wrong and misleading.” The committee will submit its report to the Ministry of Education in the next two months.
