Hidden Camera Scandal at Gudlavalleru Engineering College: Students Protest and Authorities Respond
An incident involving a hidden camera reportedly found inside a hostel toilet at Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district has caused outrage among students. They staged a protest against the college management for allegedly trying to cover up the incident.
According to the students, the camera had been secretly recording women. However, Gudlavalleru Sub-Inspector Satyanarayana stated that no hidden cameras have been found on the premises so far, but the investigation is ongoing.
Authorities Respond
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh took to social media to address the issue. He has asked the concerned authorities for details and assured strict action against the culprits if found guilty. Lokesh emphasized the need for early steps to prevent ragging and harassment in colleges.
YS Sharmila Reddy, Chief of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, also expressed her outrage. She demanded immediate action against the culprits and the college management, criticizing their negligence and lack of supervision. Reddy called for a fast-track investigation and the formation of a high-level committee to probe the matter.
