Hezbollah Targets Tel Haim Military Base

Hezbollah, a group based in Lebanon, claimed to have targeted the Tel Haim military base in Tel Aviv, which is about 120 kilometers from the Lebanon border. They used special missiles to attack the base, which they say is part of the Israeli army’s military intelligence division. However, neither Hezbollah nor the Israeli military commented on the impact of this attack.

Continued Attacks Near the Border

Hezbollah also reported firing rockets at the Kiryat Shmona settlement and other nearby communities. Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike hit a civil defense center near Baalbek in Lebanon, resulting in 12 confirmed deaths, with rescue operations still ongoing.

Israeli Defense Forces’ Response

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that they have killed around 200 Hezbollah members and destroyed 140 rocket launchers in the past week. These launchers were considered an immediate threat to Israel. The IDF’s operations included targeting key figures in Hezbollah’s Radwan Force.

Background of the Conflict

Following attacks by Hamas on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah began daily rocket and drone attacks on northern Israel. This has displaced over 68,000 residents. Hezbollah leaders have stated their intention to continue these attacks to prevent Israelis from returning home.

In the October 7 attacks by Hamas, over 1,200 people were killed, and 252 individuals were taken hostage. Of these hostages, more than 30 have been declared dead.
