Beirut [Lebanon], September 29: Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, following Israeli airstrikes on Beirut. The group stated that Nasrallah has ‘joined his fellow martyrs’ and vowed to continue its fight against Israel in support of Palestine.

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) launched precision strikes on Beirut on Friday, targeting Hezbollah’s main headquarters in the southern suburbs, known as the Dahiyeh. The strikes resulted in civilian casualties, with Lebanon’s Health Ministry reporting 33 deaths and 195 injuries.

In response to Nasrallah’s assassination, Lebanon launched an attack on Israeli territory. The IDF confirmed the launch from Lebanon into Israeli territory, with sirens sounding in Jerusalem.

Following Nasrallah’s death, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning to Iran’s Ayatollah regime, asserting that those who target Israel will face consequences. Netanyahu described Nasrallah as the ‘main engine of Iran’s axis of evil’ and emphasized that Israel’s reach extends throughout the Middle East.
