Hezbollah Launches Rockets at Israeli Naval Base Amid Rising Tensions

In a significant escalation of tensions in West Asia, Hezbollah has launched rockets at a naval base near Haifa, Israel. This attack was confirmed by Hezbollah, which claimed to have targeted positions in the suburbs of Tel Aviv, including the military intelligence unit 8200 base in Glilot and a naval base near Haifa.

The ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah have already resulted in significant casualties. The Israeli army reported that five rockets targeted central Israel, while another 15 were aimed at the north. Some rockets were intercepted, and others landed in open areas, causing no casualties.

In response to these attacks, the Israeli military conducted a strike on Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters in southern Beirut, Lebanon, killing three key officials: Elhag Abbas Salameh, Racha Abbas Icha, and Ahmed Ali Hasin. The operation also targeted an underground weapons workshop in Beirut.

The recent spike in tensions follows an attempted drone attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence. Netanyahu warned Hezbollah, referring to them as Iran’s “proxy,” and stated that the “assassination” attempt would not deter Israel from its mission to eliminate terrorists.
