Hemant Soren’s wife, Kalpana Soren, also expressed her happiness on social media, stating that democracy has won. She wrote, ‘Democracy ultimately won. The injustice that started on January 31, 2024, has now started getting justice in the true sense. Hail Jharkhand.’

Hemant Soren was released from Birsa Munda Jail on June 28 after nearly five months following bail from the Jharkhand High Court in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam. He had resigned as Chief Minister before his arrest on January 31.
