Hemant Soren Becomes Chief Minister of Jharkhand Again
Hemant Soren was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Jharkhand by Governor CP Radhakrishnan. Soren, who was recently released on bail after being jailed for five months in a land scam case, replaces Champai Soren, who resigned after five months in office.
Hemant Soren had previously served as the 11th Chief Minister and led JMM to a majority in the 2019 Assembly elections in alliance with Congress and RJD.
