Heavy Rains Cause Flooding in Navsari, Gujarat: Rescue Efforts Underway

Heavy rains have severely affected Navsari, Gujarat, causing significant waterlogging and disrupting daily life. District Collector Kshipra S Agre inspected shelter homes for those affected and reported that 110 people have been rescued and moved to these shelters. She urged residents to cooperate with officials and assured them of good treatment in the shelters.

Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel visited flood-affected areas in the Borsas area of Anand district. He highlighted efforts to prevent water-borne diseases, with the Arogya team and doctors working in the affected areas.

The heavy rains have caused havoc in various districts of Gujarat, resulting in eight deaths and raising the total death toll to 61. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted an aerial survey of the coastal districts of Saurashtra, including Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka, to assess the situation. He urged the district administration to adopt a zero-casualty approach to ensure people’s safety during the heavy rains.
