Heavy Rains and Cloudbursts in Himachal Pradesh: Rescue Operations Underway
Himachal Pradesh is facing severe weather conditions with heavy rains and cloudbursts. The Indian Army, state administration, fire services, NDRF, and SDRF have deployed teams for rescue operations. Eight teams are working together to help those affected.

Three cloudbursts hit Kullu district, one in Mandi, and one in Shimla. The Samej area of Jhakri in Shimla is the most affected, with 36 people missing. In Mandi, seven people are missing, and two bodies have been retrieved.
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued heavy rain and flooding alerts for the next 24 hours. An orange alert is in place for four to five districts. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue in Kullu, Chamba, and Kangra districts.
