The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that monsoon activity in Himachal Pradesh is likely to increase in intensity and distribution over the coming days. The IMD reported that the monsoon has been active in the state over the past 24 hours, with isolated heavy rainfall and light to moderate rainfall in most areas.

According to the IMD, the monsoon activity will peak on July 31 and August 1, with widespread moderate precipitation, thunderstorms, and lightning expected. Heavy rainfall is likely in the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Mandi, Kullu, Solan, Shimla, and Sirmaur from July 29 to August 3. The average minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to remain normal during this period.
