Heavy Rainfall Causes Chaos in New Delhi and Gurugram

Incessant rain has caused massive waterlogging and traffic jams, disrupting normal life. A tragic incident occurred in Rohini where a seven-year-old boy drowned in a waterlogged park.
Gurugram also faced severe waterlogging and traffic jams, especially on the Gurugram-Delhi Expressway. Haryana Minister Aseem Goyal reported over 220 mm of rain in Ambala, causing significant waterlogging. He mentioned that tenders for some projects would be opened to provide relief.
The IMD forecasts more heavy rainfall in various regions, including Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, until August 16.
