Heavy Rainfall Alert in Mumbai: IMD Issues Orange Alert
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday. This alert is due to a monsoon trough and a cyclonic circulation over Mumbai, which has resulted in strong westerly winds.

According to recent data released by IMD, the average rainfall recorded at 8 am in the Central Mumbai region was 93.16 mm, in the Eastern Suburbs it was 66.03 mm, and in the Western Suburbs, it was 78.93 mm.
