Ahmedabad, Gujarat experienced severe waterlogging due to heavy rainfall on Monday. As the city prepared for Krishna Janmashtami, areas like Ghatlodiya and Naranpura were particularly affected. Residents faced ankle-deep water on roads, making it difficult for vehicles and pedestrians to navigate.

Visuals from Naranpura showed a commuter struggling to retrieve belongings after falling into the water with his motorcycle. Similar waterlogging issues were reported in Delhi, causing massive traffic congestion in areas like Dhaula Kuan.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for light to moderate rainfall in various parts of East and Northeast India, including Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Meghalaya, and Mizoram. The IMD also predicted isolated heavy rainfall in regions such as Andaman & Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Tripura over the next week.
