Heavy Rain Causes Waterlogging and Traffic Jams in Mumbai
Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rain since Thursday morning, causing many parts of the city to get waterlogged and leading to traffic congestion. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) have predicted more rain today, with moderate to heavy spells expected in the city and suburbs.
High Tide Warnings
The coastal parts of Mumbai can expect high tide waves to rise 3.78 meters at around 10 am and 3.23 meters at around 9:30 pm, according to the BMC.
Rainfall in Other Regions
IMD has also predicted light to moderate rainfall in other regions along the western coast, including Konkan, Goa, Karnataka, and Kerala, as well as in northern parts of the country like Jammu & Kashmir, west Uttarakhand, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, West Assam, East Telangana, and north coastal Andhra Pradesh. These areas may also experience isolated thunderstorms and lightning in the next three hours.
