HD Kumaraswamy Promises Industrial Growth in Channapatna and Ramanagara

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy has pledged to establish large-scale industries between Channapatna and Ramanagara in Karnataka. This announcement was made during an election rally in support of his son, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, an NDA candidate, at Nehru Circle in Channapatna. The bypolls for this assembly seat are scheduled for November 13.

Kumaraswamy, alongside BJP State President BY Vijayendra, expressed his vision of transforming Channapatna and Ramanagara into twin industrial hubs, similar to Hubballi-Dharwad. He emphasized his focus on development and job creation, stating that these industries would contribute to India’s economic growth.

He also criticized the Congress party for delaying a Rs97 crore Underground Drainage project in Channapatna, accusing them of stalling tenders for personal interests. Additionally, he mentioned ongoing projects like a Rs20 crore mango processing plant and an international-standard silk market in Ramanagara, which have faced delays.

BY Vijayendra predicted Congress’s defeat in Channapatna, Shiggaon, and Sandur, attributing it to corruption scandals. He urged the people of Channapatna to support Nikhil Kumaraswamy, asserting that his victory would honor the family’s legacy and establish him as a future leader.

Nikhil Kumaraswamy is contesting against Congress candidate CP Yogeshwara for the Channapatna assembly seat, which became vacant after HD Kumaraswamy won the Mandya parliamentary segment in the last Lok Sabha polls. The first phase of voting will occur on November 13, with the second phase on November 20, and vote counting on November 23.
