Haryana Elections: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Visits Kurukshetra
On October 8, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini visited the Saini Samaj Dharamshala in Kurukshetra. Saini, who is running for the Ladwa assembly constituency, met with party workers and supporters. The vote counting for Haryana’s assembly elections is set to begin at 8 am on Tuesday, following the conclusion of polling on October 5 for all 90 seats.
Confidence in BJP’s Victory
Gian Chand Gupta, BJP candidate from Panchkula, expressed confidence in winning, citing the blessings of Mata Mansa Devi. He believes BJP will form the government for the third time, despite exit polls suggesting otherwise. Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal announced that 93 counting centres have been established across 22 districts. Two centres each are set up for Badshahpur, Gurugram, and Pataudi constituencies, with one centre for the remaining 87. The counting will start with postal ballots, followed by EVMs. A total of 90 observers and 30 companies of Central Armed Police Forces are deployed for security, with a three-tier security system in place. CCTV cameras are installed for monitoring, and unauthorized access is restricted.
