Haryana Elections: Chaudhary Birender Singh and Bhupinder Singh Hooda Discuss BJP’s Worrisome Situation

Former Union Minister and Congress leader Chaudhary Birender Singh has raised concerns about the BJP’s position in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. He stated that despite efforts to have PM Modi campaign across Haryana, it won’t change the public’s already made-up minds.

Voting for Haryana’s 90-member legislative assembly will take place on October 5, with votes being counted on October 8.

When asked about Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s bail, Singh mentioned that Kejriwal’s campaign for the AAP in alliance with Congress during the Lok Sabha elections did not yield favorable results. He believes AAP has no influence in Haryana, and Kejriwal’s bail will not impact the elections.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced his intention to resign from his position after two days, stating he would not return until the public of Delhi declares him ‘honest.’ He also mentioned seeking early polls along with Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda emphasized that the upcoming assembly polls in Haryana are a two-way battle between Congress and BJP. He urged voters not to waste their votes on other parties and highlighted the need for a change in governance after 10 years of BJP rule.

Hooda also promised that if elected, the Congress government would increase the pension amount for the elderly to Rs 6,000 and make LPG cylinders available for Rs 500.
