Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Confident of BJP’s Third Term Win
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to win a third term in the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. He shared his confidence after witnessing the support from the people.
Speaking to reporters, CM Saini said, “After seeing the love and support of people, I can say that the BJP will form the government for the third term with the majority in the state…I will file my nomination on the 10th.”
Earlier, CM Saini criticized the speculated alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, accusing both parties of corruption. He stated, “Congress and AAP both are corrupt parties. There were scams during the Congress era, and Aam Aadmi party came to power saying that it was a corruption-free party, but unfortunately both the corrupt parties have joined their hands. Their agenda is not to work for the welfare of the people of Haryana; their agenda is to indulge in corruption and fill their pockets.”
Meanwhile, the BJP has launched a ‘Jan Samvad’ campaign to engage with the public. BJP leaders and in-charges of Haryana are responsible for holding public dialogues and informing people about the government’s public interest schemes. An introduction booklet will also be distributed among the people.
The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8. The Election Commission of India revised the polling date from October 1 to October 5 and moved the counting of votes from October 4 to October 8.
