Haryana City Gas Joins MET City in Jhajjar
Reliance subsidiary Model Economic Township Limited (METL) has announced that Haryana City Gas (HCG) is now part of its Greenfield Smart City, MET City, located in Jhajjar, Haryana. MET City is one of India’s largest integrated Greenfield Smart Cities, designed to attract investments and create new employment opportunities while maintaining sustainability.
About MET City
MET City hosts a variety of industries, including defense, engineering, electronics, and more. It is the only Japan Industrial Township in Haryana, with six Japanese companies and several from South Korea and Europe. The city is IGBC Platinum Rated, highlighting its commitment to sustainability.
CEO’s Statement
S.V. Goyal, CEO of MET City, expressed excitement about HCG joining the city, marking a significant milestone. MET City has seen a 60% growth in the past financial year and has attracted investments over Rs 20,000 crores, providing jobs to 48,000 people.

MET City spans over 8,000 acres and offers world-class infrastructure, including a 220 KV substation, water treatment facilities, and a comprehensive road network. Its strategic location near Gurugram ensures excellent connectivity to the National Capital Region.
