The Haryana Legislative Assembly Elections are set to take place on October 5, from 7 am to 6 pm. Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Pankaj Agarwal, announced that 2,03,54,350 voters are eligible to vote across 90 assembly constituencies.

Voter Demographics

Among the voters, 1,07,75,957 are men, 95,77,926 are women, and 467 belong to the third gender. There are 5,24,514 young voters aged 18 to 19, and 1,49,142 voters with disabilities. Additionally, 2,31,093 voters are above 85 years, and 8,821 are over 100 years old. The state also has 1,09,217 service voters.

A total of 1,031 candidates are contesting, including 930 males and 101 females. Among them, 464 are independent candidates. Major parties in the fray include BJP, Congress, AAP, and alliances like INLD-BSP and JJP-ASP.

The results will be announced on October 8, alongside those of Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP aims for a third term, while Congress seeks a comeback.
