Harsh Kumar Jain Appointed as Ambassador to Micronesia

Harsh Kumar Jain, who is currently serving as the Ambassador of India to the Philippines, has been given an additional role. He will now also be the Ambassador of India to the Federated States of Micronesia. This announcement was made by the Ministry of External Affairs. Harsh Kumar Jain is an experienced Indian Foreign Service officer from the 1993 batch. He will continue to reside in Manila while taking on this new responsibility.

Concurrent accreditation -: Concurrent accreditation means that a person is given the responsibility to represent their country in more than one place at the same time. In this case, Harsh Kumar Jain will be the ambassador to both the Philippines and Micronesia.

Ministry of External Affairs -: The Ministry of External Affairs is a part of the Indian government that handles India’s relationships with other countries. They make sure India has good connections with other nations.
