Harmanpreet Kaur to Lead Team India in Women’s Asia Cup T20 in Sri Lanka

The Women’s Selection Committee has announced the Indian squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup T20, which will be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka from July 19 to 28. Harmanpreet Kaur will once again lead Team India, with star opener Smriti Mandhana as her deputy.

Tournament Details

The ninth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format. This tournament offers Asian teams a chance to experiment and fine-tune their squads ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup later this year. The high-octane clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is scheduled for July 19. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals on July 26, and the final will take place on July 28.

Team India Schedule

India will face UAE on July 21 and Nepal on July 23 in the group stage of the tournament.
