Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya made history during the ICC T20 World Cup match against Bangladesh by becoming the first Indian player to score over 300 runs and take more than 20 wickets in the tournament’s history. In the game, Pandya scored 50 runs in just 27 balls, hitting four boundaries and three sixes, and took a crucial wicket of Litton Das.

In his T20 World Cup career, Pandya has accumulated 302 runs in 21 matches with an average of 27.45 and a strike rate of 137.89, including two half-centuries. He has also taken 21 wickets, with his best bowling figures being 3/27.

Other players who have achieved similar feats include Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi, Bangladesh’s Shakib al Hasan, West Indies’ Dwayne Bravo, and Australia’s Shane Watson.

In the match, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli provided a strong start, but early dismissals left India at 77/3. Contributions from Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dube, and Hardik Pandya helped India reach 196/5 in 20 overs. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rashid Hossain were the top bowlers for Bangladesh.

India needs to defend 197 runs to secure a spot in the semifinals, while Bangladesh must win to keep their Super Eights hopes alive.
