Hardeep Singh Puri Meets UAE Minister Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber in New Delhi
New Delhi, India – Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, welcomed his friend Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, in Delhi for an extensive meeting.
Puri shared on social media that they discussed ways to strengthen the already comprehensive partnership between India and UAE, which spans the entire hydrocarbon value chain. He highlighted that UAE is India’s second-largest source of crude oil imports and the third-largest destination for India’s petroleum product exports.
The Indian Embassy in UAE also posted about the meeting, noting that it took place on the sidelines of the visit of HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Key agreements were signed to further the India-UAE energy partnership.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a productive meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, covering a wide range of topics. The Crown Prince is on an official visit to India from September 9 to 10, marking his first visit in this capacity.
