Gulab Singh Rajput Chosen as Congress Candidate for Gujarat By-Elections
On October 25, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge approved Gulab Singh Rajput as the party’s candidate for the upcoming by-elections in the Vav constituency of Gujarat. The elections are scheduled for November 13, with results to be announced on November 23.
In addition to Gujarat, Congress has announced candidates for seven seats in the Rajasthan by-polls, also set for November 13. The candidates include Amit Ola for Jhunjhunu, Aryaan Zubair for Ramgarh, and others for various constituencies.
The by-elections will cover 48 constituencies across 15 states, including Assam, Bihar, and Kerala. The Election Commission of India has scheduled these elections in two phases, with the first phase on November 13 and the second on November 20. Vote counting will occur on November 23.
