In Gandhinagar, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel revealed a special postage stamp to mark 25 years of Mundra Port’s development. The stamp, titled “25 Years of Progress – Mundra Port,” showcases the port’s transformation from a simple jetty to a major global shipping hub. Released by India Post on World Postal Day, the stamp sheet includes 12 stamps, with 5,000 sheets printed at Hyderabad’s Security Printing Press, totaling 60,000 stamps. A replica will be displayed at the National Philatelic Museum in New Delhi, and the stamps are available for purchase online. Mundra Port, located on the Gulf of Kutch’s north coast, began as a captive jetty in 1994 and has grown significantly through a Public Private Partnership, with the Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone (MPSEZ) operational since 2001.
