Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Celebrates Vijayadashami with Shastrapujan
In Gandhinagar, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel celebrated the festival of Vijayadashami by performing the traditional Shastrapujan ceremony. This event, held on Saturday, is a significant part of India’s Dussehra celebrations, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
CM Patel shared images from the ceremony on social media, expressing that knowledge and glory are powerful tools against internal and external negative forces. He prayed for divine power to overcome demonic forces that oppose human welfare.
The ceremony took place at the Chief Minister’s residence, where CM Patel worshipped the weapons of his security personnel following traditional rituals. He also extended greetings to the security team on this auspicious occasion.
During his address to the security personnel, CM Patel emphasized the importance of duty and the concept of Karma Bandhan, urging them to perform their duties with diligence, compassion, and a sense of true Karma Yoga.
SP Chintan Teraiah, head of the security team, welcomed the Chief Minister to the Shastrapujan. The event was attended by various police officials, commandos, and drivers. The tradition of Shastrapujan at the Chief Minister’s residence was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister.
