Chhotaudepur (Gujarat) [India], June 27: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took part in the Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav and School Praveshotsav 2024, a three-day school admission festival organized by the state government from June 26 to 28. During the event, CM Patel interacted with students at a school in the Chhotaudepur district.

CM Patel highlighted the efforts made to ensure students attend school regularly. He said, “Now, when students don’t reach school, the teachers visit their homes the next day to inquire about their absence. Parents, too, are paying attention. There are schemes in implementation and with everyone’s efforts, we are getting results.”

Earlier, on Monday, CM Patel chaired a meeting about the festival and mentioned that more than 32 lakh children will be admitted to school during the event. He emphasized the theme ‘Celebration of Joyful Education’ and called for micro-planning to ensure no child is deprived of education.

This year, the festival includes admissions for Balwatika, Class-1, Class-9, and Class-11. The state government has introduced schemes like ‘Namo Lakshmi Yojana’ and ‘Namo Saraswati Yojana’ to promote girls’ education and science studies. CM Patel urged everyone to take advantage of these schemes.

CM Patel praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for starting the School Entrance Festival during his tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister. He noted that the dropout rate has become negligible and a new consciousness towards education has been instilled in society.

On girls’ education, Patel said, “The Gujarat government has launched the Namo Lakshmi and Namo Saraswati Yojanas to promote girls’ education and science studies. Both are very beautiful plans.” He requested that every parent and student be informed about these schemes to benefit from them.

CM Patel concluded by stating that the festival has yielded very good results, allowing every girl child in Gujarat to pursue secondary and higher secondary education and build a bright future.
