Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel participated in the Chhath Mahaparva Puja festival in Ahmedabad, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat.” He expressed the importance of traditional festivals in uniting people from different states. The event was organized by the Chhath Mahaparva Coordination Trust, Hindi Bashi Mahasangh, and Maan Janaki Seva Samiti, with families from Bihar, Jharkhand, and eastern Uttar Pradesh joining the celebrations.

Patel emphasized that festivals are a vital part of Indian culture, helping communities maintain their traditions even when they move for work or business. He noted that Gujarat has become a “karmabhoomi” for many, and events like Chhath Puja provide a sense of home. The Chief Minister also mentioned the Prime Minister’s goal of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which is being realized through these shared celebrations.

He expressed hope for unity among citizens, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision for a developed India by 2047. The event was attended by notable figures including Ahmedabad City Mayor Pratibhaben Jain, Deputy Mayor Jatinbhai Patel, and others. Lalit Kumar Jha, Trustee of the Chhath Mahaparva Planning Committee, welcomed attendees and discussed the festival’s significance.
