Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Approves Rs 316.78 Crore for Vadodara Ring Road
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has allocated Rs 316.78 crore for the construction of a Ring Road in Vadodara. This project is part of the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.
The Vadodara Urban Development Authority (VUDA) proposed the Ring Road to the Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GUDM) to address traffic congestion and support the city’s growth. The Ring Road will be 66 kilometers long and 75 meters wide. In the first phase, funds will be used to construct a 27.58-kilometer stretch with a width of 45 meters.
The initial phase will cover 10.70 kilometers in the eastern region and 16.84 kilometers in the western region. This project will also improve traffic flow to important areas like the Statue of Unity, Ekta Nagar, and the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway 8. The 16.84-kilometer stretch in the western region is expected to spur development in the surrounding areas.
