Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister CR Paatil Renew BJP Membership After PM Modi’s Launch

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister and state BJP chief CR Paatil renewed their party membership at a party event in Ahmedabad. This renewal came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the BJP’s nationwide membership drive in the national capital.

Key Points from the Event

Union Water Resources Minister CR Paatil mentioned that the BJP is the only party that conducts a membership drive every six years. He noted that the BJP received about 1.88 crore votes in Gujarat during the Lok Sabha polls and aims to increase its membership to two crore in the state. Paatil stressed that a strong organization is essential for winning elections.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized the need to work quickly to reach the target of two crore members.

PM Modi’s Remarks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024’ membership drive by renewing his membership. He urged party workers to make special efforts to connect with the youth, particularly those aged 18-25, who have not experienced the corruption scandals of the past.

PM Modi also highlighted the importance of including individuals who can help ensure maximum women’s representation in legislative bodies, coinciding with the implementation of 33 percent reservation for women in Legislative Assemblies and Parliament.

He concluded by stating that the membership drive is not just about numbers but is an ideological and emotional movement to expand the BJP family.
