Gujarat ATS Busts Major Drug Factory in Bhopal
Massive Drug Seizure and Arrests
The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has made a significant breakthrough by seizing drugs and raw materials worth Rs 1,814 crore from a factory in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Two individuals, Amit Chaturvedi from Bhopal and Sanyal Bane from Nashik, have been arrested in connection with the operation.
Details of the Seizure
During the operation, the ATS confiscated 907 kg of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MD) in both liquid and solid forms. This is the largest drug factory ever busted by the Gujarat ATS, according to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sunil Joshi.
Government’s No Drug Policy
DIG Sunil Joshi emphasized the ATS’s commitment to the government’s No Drug policy, targeting international drug smugglers and producers of synthetic drugs like MD. The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi praised the ATS and NCB for their efforts in dismantling the drug syndicate. He highlighted the importance of their work in protecting society’s health and security.
