Gorakhpur to Get Rs 3725 Crore Investment Under CM Yogi Adityanath’s Leadership

Gorakhpur, a city in Uttar Pradesh, is set to receive investment projects worth Rs 3725 crore this year, thanks to the efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. These projects are expected to create jobs for around ten thousand people.

Seven major companies, including the Adani Group, have asked the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) for land to start their businesses. They need 128 acres of land to build factories and educational institutes. The Adani Group plans to set up an Ambuja brand cement factory, while other companies like Lotus Singapore Group, Shahi Export, Delhi Public School (DPS), IIMT University, Apollo Tubes, and Stamm Tech have their own plans for different industries.

GIDA’s CEO Anuj Malik shared details of these proposals with CM Yogi during a recent meeting. He mentioned that the land has been shown to the investors, and the next steps will begin soon.

Over the past decade, Gorakhpur’s industrial scene has changed a lot. Earlier, local investors were hesitant, but now many big companies are eager to invest. GIDA, which was set up 34 years ago, has seen significant growth in the last seven years. For example, a PepsiCo unit with an investment of Rs 1,100 crore has started production, and other companies like Gyan Dairy, Tatva Plastic, Keyaan Distillery, and SD International have also set up their units.

CM Yogi has also launched several projects in education, healthcare, urbanization, and infrastructure, making Gorakhpur a hub for development. Improved road, rail, and air connectivity have played a big role in this progress.
