Goods Train Derails at Tarawari Station in Karnal, Haryana
On Tuesday, eight coaches of a goods train derailed at the Tarawari station in Karnal district, Haryana. The train was on its way from Delhi to Amritsar.
Details of the Incident
Inspector Dinesh from Karnal police reported that the derailment occurred around 4:40 a.m. He mentioned that eight coaches were derailed and two wheels came off. The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
Impact on Railway Services
As a result of the derailment, trains on the Delhi-Ambala railway line have been stopped. Efforts are being made to clear the tracks, but it will take some time. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
Previous Incident
Last month, two coaches of a goods train loaded with coal derailed near Faridabad railway station in Haryana. No injuries were reported in that incident either.
