Goa Police Arrest Uzbekistan National Jumaeva Amira for Possession of Cocaine

Goa Police have arrested Jumaeva Amira, a 42-year-old Uzbekistan national, for allegedly possessing narcotic drugs suspected to be cocaine. The arrest took place during a raid near Sinquerim Jetty in Bardez-Goa on September 21.

The police received credible information from sources that a woman would be delivering narcotic drugs to prospective customers. Acting on this information, the police conducted a raid and seized 12.05 grams of cocaine worth approximately Rs. 1,20,000.

An offence has been registered under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985, and further investigation is in progress.
